Pallavi (motivation):
ReplyDeleteAim for lasting inner peace, by immersing yourself in Saramati.
Anupallavi (the structure):
A couple of simple ground-rules: Its ascend consists of seven swaras (notes) rendered straight up, whereas its descent consists of only five swaras.
Charana (the juice):
Its essence is enhanced by dwelling in the swaras Ma (the fourth) and Ni (the flat seventh).
The descent eschews the notes Pa (the fifth) and Ri (the second).
Its reverberations are said to lead to salvation (by Saint Tyagaraja) and it belongs to the family of Natabhairavi (the raga corresponding to the minor scale)
One should preserve Saramati's flavor and grammar with care and pride!
